| | on the last week of august i went to sunset to shoot the viper room.
the viper room is one venue with lots of history.
many many famous band has performed there.
it was owned by johnny depp. opened in '93, regulars included jennifer aniston and sean penn.
at one point, adam duritz of the counting crows hid out there as a bartender to escape from his
newfound fame.
river phoenix, brother of joaquin who played the young indiana jones in the last crusade died from
overdose at this club many years back.
this was the room johnny depp used to come to straight from the back entrance. it has a one-way
vision glass so that he and his friends can see out, but no one can look inside.
this is the bar inside.
there's also another vip room downstairs.
the shoot didn't go quite as planned. the staff who were there didn't quite know how the place is
normally lit. i think the owner wanted a more rock & roll, less colorful look instead.
